About

I’m the worst at following recipes (and rules) so experimenting and development has become my forte. I’ve always enjoyed finding a different, better way to make something-whether that’s vegan, gluten free, lower in sugar, bigger in flavor, or a little healthier.

Ohio born and raised. I have my BFA/Photography from Ohio University. In my early 20’s I moved to NY to manage a commercial photography studio and ended up in culinary school at The Natural Gourmet Inst. for Health and Culinary Arts (now part of ICE). I took to baking and opened a bakery dedicated to gluten-free baked goods. Then my love of pie made me a perfect fit for Mission Pie in SF. Another move, landed in me in Pittsburgh where I worked as a private chef for The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre for the past 6 years.
